Base down low #manicure

                                                 Lets talk Base Coats!

Why it's good to use a base coat:
-Using a good base coat will protect your nail from any staining from the nail colour itself
-A good base coat will make your manicure last longer as it acts like a bonding glue and adheres your nail paint
-A base coat will smooth out the nail surface, some will fill in ridges and bumps to make your nail paint go on alot smoother and look more polished.

For a while I've been using LA Colors base coat, it's amazing value and does a great job.

LA colors can be purchased from BeautyBase in the UK

On the odd occasion, you can use something that isn't made specifically as a base coat.

I sometimes use Avon's Strong Results as a base, it has a water like texture and dries instantly. Not only does it make your nails stronger by providing a hard base but it acts as another layer to protect from the colour on top.

I'm always reading Nail Blogs or articles and this is a brand they all mention so it has been on my (very large) wish list for a while!
It is the almighty Seche Base.
Seche Base is formulated especially to help discuise nail imperfections and acts as a strong base for the nail colour to anchor on to.

Seche have a number of products in their line which are used by all the top technicians. Seche Vite is the award winning Top Coat from the brand..more on that later ;)
